It's Perfect Post Awards time again, a time for bloggers to recognize their favorite posts of the preceding month. MommaK and I thought up the Awards nearly a year ago and have had a great time helping you guys recognize greatness in each other.
I had a hard time with January's Perfect Post Award. One blog has stood out in my mind this past month more than any other as a "perfect" example of grace and honesty under what must be the most devastating situation I can possibly imagine. Ever.
It seemed inappropriate to "award" this blog, but on the other hand, I believe this family more than just about any other right now could use your thoughts, prayers or positive energy, so I decided to share it with all of you. But Good Lord, grab a box of tissues before you visit. The blog only began this month and you really have to read all of it to understand it, so I'm going out on a limb here and awarding Follow Lingling as She Gives Lymphoma a Beatdown. All of it. Because it's just that kind of situation, y'all.
And now, I hope you'll dig in here and discover some more great writing. Read the best of the month from some of your old favorites or discover some bright new bloggers. You never know what you'll find, but I can promise you it'll be good.

Oh man, I just sobbed my eyes right out of my head after reading the entire LingLing blog. You're right, the entire blog is a perfect post. The love that shines through that blog, from Danny to Leanne, and from their friends and family is just outstanding. My heart is in my throat. I don't know whether to thank you or throttle you.

I just read it all, too. So honest and heartbreaking and full of life and love. How does something about death and fear have so much life and hope? Thank you for sharing that. I am speechless.
