It's time yet again for the Perfect Post Awards, a day my co-host Kimberly and I set aside for bloggers to share with others their favorite posts of the preceding month.
This month, I'm awarding a gorgeous woman I met and bonded with over red wine while crashing a party at BlogHer! I have loved her blog ever since. In a mommyblogworld filled with stories about poop and tantrums, Kyran's posts are reflective pieces that take ordinary events and make them resonate. Also, her photography is divine.
So without further adieu, my Post Award for the month of May goes to Kyran at Notes to Self for her post, Prêt-à-Porter.
Also, a special note. After learning about her on this blog, some of you have kept up with Leanne, whose husband received a Perfect Post Award last year as he documented his small family's battle with Leanne's stage 4 lymphoma. The great (GREAT!!!) news is that she is now in remission. Last year, Leanne's husband Daniel biked 100 miles in one day for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and raised more than $30,000 in his wife's name. This year, he's doing it again. Go Daniel! Lindsay, Kyran interviewed me for Neil's Citizen of the Month Interviews a few months ago. I loved her questions and have adored her site ever since.

I want to encourage others to support Daniel.
My son was diagnosed with an aggressive leukemia at the age of 2, and endured 3.5 years of chemo and radiation (not the funnest way to spend years 2-6)...
My husband did 4 100 mile rides with the LLS, and I did a triathlon, ....they have the largest sports training program in the country...so those interested in getting athletic, or wanting to do a marathon, join a LLS Team In Training group...you get a mentor, professional coaching and great support....
and, best part, you can help save the lives of those that are desperate for the help.
