The Show Must Go On

While I toil away at boring old BlogHer, I hope you'll check out all the posty goodness I've whipped up for you over at my Parents.com blog! Here's what's cooking over there...

Oh and here's a moment some of you might appreciate. Stephanie Klein wrote an excellent blog post based on the mommyblogging panel I moderated yesterday and I think it cuts to the heart of what we discussed during that session. I met Stephanie last night and we chatted about the subject, so I went to check out her blog today and there was the post. It was a nice surprise. Yvonne tells me Stephanie is "hot shit" in the blog world. How do I miss this stuff?

The weekend so far has been filled, filled with heady moments like that one. Last night, I was sipping cocktails and comparing relationship stories with the editor of Redbook. Tomorrow night, I'll be right back to changing poopy diapers and scrubbing out my kitchen sink. BlogHer rocks, y'all. For one weekend, we get to pretend like we're all rock stars and I think that's one reason why the moms in particular love it so much.

I am still seething with jealously here.....

Glad everyone is having fun. Is it too soon to start planning for next year?

Half the time I don't understand WHAT Stephanie Klein is talking about so I may have this wrong, but I read her post the other night and figured she was talking about your panel discussion. It seemed to me that she was being very critical of what you were saying. Or not?

Well, the conversation was critical of what was "radical" and what was not. There was no general consensus, more of a feeling that we could all agree to disagree, and that there was room for everyone.

Lindsay, your new layout kicks so much ass! I'm, as we speak (write? read?), hanging my head in shame because it probably has been new for a week or so now...sorry to let you down, but this was a hectic two weeks of work, and I had very little "check out my favorite blogs" time.

seriously, making a woman who has a hard time getting out of her jammies and showering feel like a queen....priceless.

have a great time, hopefully next year I'll be with you!

I missed the post about your new look, so maybe this has already been said and you don't care...but every time I open the blog I am thinking it and finally am taking the time to comment. The new look is great--but does the header image have to be SO very enormous? It takes up my entire screen. A little overwhelming :)

Sorry to be off-topic. Have a great time at BlogHer!

Your blog is fabulous! I linked to it from mamrazzi. You do liv eon Wisteria Lane. I checked out the Cannon story. Looks like a future featured story on one of my favorite shows about when women kill, "Snapped."

Honey, please-- you ARE a rock star.

How weird about the Wisteria Lane post. I just had lunch with the school gossip and learned that there is a husband who's under inditement for churning the accounts of orphans and elderly. Also, another family where the wife is being abused by her new husband and the list goes on and on. It's like the movie Blue Velvet--don't look too closely at the lawn, or you might just find a severed ear.
Creepy.

I also like the new look. Not enormous at all- well, kind of enormous, but it looks good that way! If I looked that good while changing a diaper, I'd make it a full page pic! Love the little soccer trophy on the table btw... my 5yo has the same one... makes me feel like I know you!

Great seeing you this weekend. I had to drive home to nurse the baby (don't get me started about the breast pump catastrophe) so I'm sorry I missed the Cheeseburger Party.

I liked what Stephanie had to say, that supporting other women is radical. There is indeed room for everyone.
